Planning is well underway for the 2010 Pacific Grove Feast of Lanterns, which will be held July 23 through July 31. Many of you are well aware of the circumstances that required changes to be made to our traditional program this year to help cut costs and raise money. The two major changes include moving Saturday’s Pageant from the Pier to the Performing Arts Center in Pacific Grove (PAC-PG) and canceling the fireworks, and moving the Street Dance from Lighthouse Avenue to Chautauqua Hall. With your support these changes will be temporary but are necessary changes to ensure the long-term viability of the Feast of Lanterns.

The 2010 program of activities may have two location changes but the events will hold true to the many Feast of Lanterns’ traditions including the Pet Parade, Chalk Fest, Tea and Fashion Show, and telling of the Legend of the Blue Willow in pantomime by the Royal Court.

The Feast of Lanterns is entirely funded by your donations and contributions. It is your donations and contributions that will enable the Feast of Lanterns to return to the Lovers Point with the Fireworks and all the traditions everyone loves.

We have designed three Sponsorship Packages that offer a range of participation – we trust one is right for you. The Sponsorship Package Summary below details the benefits of sponsorship.

We also have four Donor categories that provide a variety of participation – see the section labeled “make a Donation” at the end of this page.

There are 2 ways for you to become a sponsor:

1. Contribute to our general fund in any one of the three categories – Topaz, Sapphire or Jade. The monies you contribute will fund our General Operations. Recognition is attributed in different forms for the different categories.

2. Underwrite one of our many events or projects, such as the Saturday afternoon children’s activities, the grand fireworks finale or the art competition. You and/or your company will be recognized as the Sponsor of this event in all our printed materials and at the actual event.

Events and Projects Available for Sponsorship

Certain Sponsors prefer to direct the use of their donation by underwriting a specific event or project. In addition to the special recognition you will be given for underwriting an event, you will also receive the benefits of the sponsorship package comparable to your contribution – Topaz, Sapphire, or Jade.

Make a Donation

Your gift helps us organize and put on the Feast of Lanterns for the community of Pacific Grove. There are two ways to make a donation to the Feast of Lanterns:

1. Make monetary donations to our General Fund by mailing your donation to the Feast of Lanterns or using your credit or debit card to make a donation using this website.

2. Contribute your professional services for which the Feast of Lanterns would otherwise incur a cost (e.g.: graphic design, printing, carpentry, etc.). These Donors receive recognition in the local newspaper.

Donations Categories include:
   • Monarchs: $250 and more
   • Emperors and Empresses: $100 - $249
   • Court Circle: $50 - $99
   • Crown Bearers: under $50

The Feast of Lanterns is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization, with an all volunteer Board of Directors. The proceeds of the festival each year, minus operating expenses, fund an academic scholarship program for theRoyal Court, who are community spirited, active middle and high school students.
